The PED/PEI build plate is an aftermarket accessory that is designed for the Bambu Lab X1/P1 series printers. It is 256x256mm, attaches to the magnetic bed of the printers, and is the same size as the official Bambu Lab plates. The PED plate features unique textures that transfer onto the first layer of your prints! The PEI side is a textured finish that is similar to the official Textured PEI plates from Bambu Lab.

One side is the Smooth PED texture and the other side is Black Textured PEI. Both sides behave the same in terms of usage and maintenance. The plate has a spring steel center that attaches to the magnetic bed on the Bambu Lab X1/P1 printers.

The PED plate is ideal for PLA, PETG, TPU, and ABS and is capable of sustaining up to 120C. The Black Textured PEI plate is ideal for PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, ASA, PVA, PC, and PA and is capable of sustaining up to 180C. The texture/shading on the plates is a physical attribute and will transfer to the bottom of your prints to create a unique finish that helps cover up layer lines. The plates are easily cleaned with warm water and soap, the same as the official plates.

All the photos, testing, packaging, and shipping are done in California, USA.

Notes:

  • The PED side may degrade if using the PEI side above 130C. However, this will only be an issue if you use this build plate on a modified Bambu Lab printer/other printer that allows the heatbed to reach 130+C. Bambu Lab printers maximum heatbed temperature is 110C, so there will be no issue.
  • Using glue will work on the plate, but the texture/coloring will not transfer
  • Use the 'Smooth PEI / High Temperature Plate' option in Bambu Studio
  • Increasing the Bed Temperature to 60-65C will help with adhesion
  • Outer Brim highly recommended
  • Slow First Layer Speed helps with adhesion if you don't want a brim (~25 mm works well for me)
